In 2024 I left a position as the Director of Marketing and Programming for an LGBTQ+ nightlife group. The industry was no longer serving me and I realized I enjoyed working with folks in different arenas who knew they needed help but weren’t entirely sure how. Folks who were open to experiment, who needed guidance and mostly wanted someone driving the Marketing Station Wagon while they focused on more important things—running their businesses.
Heart Marketing was born.

Simple logo and branding refresh for a financial solutions company in Georgia. The goal was to update, incorporate a more “wherever you are, we can help,” vibe, and shift the brand away from the mathematics aesthetic the former
designer created.

Creation of new marketing collateral for Wil’s Workshop and 80’s Afternoon—events I refocused and created in the post-COVID, nightlife world.
Wil’s Workshop started as a holiday-themed (Halloween and Christmas) arts & crafts event which I, with the help of host Wil Velez, turned into a free, monthly event.
80’s Afternoon was a weekly, ‘80s music-themed, Saturday afternoon event featuring classic and remixed ‘80s music/video.
Simple flyer refresh, sticking with brand-specific colors and minimal “extras”.
Posters for an event series in Hubbard Woods Design District in Chicago’s Northshore. HWDD is a merchant group comprised of home decor, art, design and food retailers. Spring through fall, participants stay open for after-hours shopping and provide themed snacks and libations. In redesigning this collateral, we went in a new direction as the previously designed marketing materials didn’t convey the theme and vibe of the events or neighborhood.
My portfolio contains examples of marketing collateral I personally created and some of which I oversaw the creation as Marketing Director. I am happy to discuss any examples and welcome any questions.
